Process Engineering were engaged by VERT (Vitrification & Environmental
Recycling Limited) to design, build and commission a flue gas cleaning plant
for use with a mobile hazardous waste vitrification furnace. |

Fabrication of this heat exchanger was in carbon steel. As a result of a considerable range of potential corrosive materials, there was no single suitable material which could be guaranteed to meet the service requirements. |

The cost effective solution was to provide a carbon steel unit designed to avoid dew point problems and to provide a spare bundle. |
